Meta, Keynote

A segment for Meta's Connect 2021 Keynote, for which I designed and animated the logo & graphic overlays.

While working full time at Glassworks I designed and animated the graphics for this speculative game which featured as part of Meta’s keynote presentation at their annual ‘Connect’ conference. It formed a key part of Meta’s major re-brand and reveal of their vision for the ‘metaverse’.

Glassworks worked directly with Meta for this project and we even featured in an Instagram post from Mark Zuckerberg.

It was really enjoyable to work with the creative lead Rüdiger Kaltenhäuser on this project. It was incredible how the 3D team created this imagined game from scratch in 3 weeks. For the graphics I wanted to keep everything very flat and relatively simple in contrast to the lit & textured 3D world. The designs themselves drew from 90s surf stickers and magazine graphics.
