While at Soundfirm, Fox Studios, I worked as a compositor on this outback thriller about two teenagers who vanish into the desert. Did the clean-up compositing and animated the closing credits. Got to work on a Nicole Kidman shot – definitely a career highlight! The film went on to compete for the World Cinema Grand Jury prize at Sundance.

Workflow

Interesting technical footnote: Soundfirm wanted to test SGO’s Mamba as a Mistika assist tool (following their work on The Great Gatsby). In the end though, the combo of Mocha Pro and After Effects proved more efficient. Mamba’s gone extinct since then – funny how these things go.
